Today is Friendship Day and Bollywood has its own fair share of unbreakable friendship bonds. Be it, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty and Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher, Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh etc. The list is endless. In fact we even have quite a few films on friendship, right from Dosti in 1964, Sholay in 1975, to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998, Bollywood has churned out gems. But as they say there is always a flip side and in Bollywood we have heard and seen quite a few times when friends have turned foes. Most famous being the friendship of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan – friends turned foes turned friends turned foes turned friends. Yeah, it’s complicated!
But there are some who were once thick friends but now don’t see eye to eye… So this friendship day, here is a list of Bollywood’s friends turned foes, whom we’d want to turn friends again… Also read: Friendship Day Special: Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan-Amrita Arora – These pictures of Bollywood BFFs that will make you plan a reunion ASAP
Kajol and Karan Johar
The battle of two of the best friends of Bollywood has acted as a fodder for the media. While there are several theories doing the rounds for their public fight, Karan had different story to tell and Kajol had a different version to narrate. We just hope this friendship day they sit together and sort things out over a session of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…
Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal
They first worked together in Farhan Akhtar’s Don. Before that they have gone on world tours together. After the success of Don, they worked together in successful films like Om Shanti Om and Ra.One. But since then something happened between the once thick friends and now they are not seen together at all. Dear Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal, it’s high time you patch up and give us more successful films like Om Shanti Om and Don.
David Dhawan and Govinda
If you are a ’90s kid and a Bollywood fan, you’d know the might of David Dhawan and Govinda. The duo churned out one blockbuster after another and but it all changed soon after. Once a formidable duo, these two are not even on talking terms with each other. They last worked together in the 2009 film, Do Knot Disturb and since then Govinda has been very outspoken about his fallout with the director. Who wouldn’t want to see them work together once again and entertain us. Please patch up may be on Partner 2?
Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma
Out of all the breakups between friends, this is the most talked about. It is also the most recent. Since March 2017 a lot has been spoken about their mid-air fight. However, recently, on Sunil Grover’s birthday, Kapil Sharma wished him on Twitter and Sunil, too, was gracious in thanking him for his wishes. However, it’s a loss for their fans, because together they are just a riot. I hope this Friendship day they keep aside all their differences and reunite for those nights of comedy! Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan
In an alternate universe these two could’ve easily passed off as brothers. There is something in their personalities that makes them so alike. And their off screen chemistry transitioned into a great onscreen camaraderie as well in films like Saajan, Chal Mere Bhai, Yeh Hai Jalwa etc. But once Sanjay Dutt came out of the jail after completing his sentence, their relationship wasn’t the same like it used to be. While Salman Khan maintained a silence, Sanjay Dutt was seen calling him out at various junctures, of course when prodded by the media. Now that Sanjay Dutt is making a comeback with Bhoomi later this year, can we just have, maybe, a sequel to Chal Mere Bhai? May be…
